# Software

As operationg system on the i.MX6 Quad compute module [Yocto linux](/d2x/software/yocto-linux.md) is used.

The [D2X demo application](/d2x/software/d2x-application.md) running under Yocto linux is developed by Auvidea/Hafner Hard und Software and WIP at the moment.
