# Power supply

The RDDRONE-T1ADAPT board needs an external 5 V supply.

The 5 V supply can be provided by a PC or laptop via the USB connector on the bottom of the board, or via a 3-pin JST-GH power cord.

Note that the USB connector is only used to provide the 5 V supply; there is no actual USB data communication.

The 3-pin JST-GH connecter is typically used with a single-board computer or device such as the NXP NavQ companion computer, or another DroneCode/PX4 device (pin 1 = 5 V; pin 3 = GND).

Additionally there are two through holes on the board that can also be used to solder in wires or a custom connector of your choosing.
