Install the Battery Slide-In Brackets in the Bottom Chassis. For this you will need four M3-0.5x5 button head cap screws.
Carefully insert the Battery Pack into the Bottom Chassis. It is recommended to have the batteries disconnected when doing this step.
Secure the Battery Pack in place using the two L-Brackets. First fix the Brackets to the Bottom Chassis using four M3-0.5x5 button head cap screws, then use four M5-0.8x10 screws to fix the battery pack to the brackets.
Install the gasket tape at the top of the unit. There are technically two ways of doing this, either have the tape outside of the mounting holes frame or in the inner side. (We prefer to run the tape on the outside of the holes.)
Install the Top Cover of the Bottom Chassis using three screws at the front and three at the back. These are M5-0.8x10 button head cap screws.
NOTE: at this point the lower chassis is complete and you could use the platform as-is without any upper payload modules.
Set the Top Payload sit on top of the Bottom Chassis. Take time to patiently align the eight mounting holes. It is recommended to have the lids opened for an easier alignment.
Fasten the first four M5 screws that go inside of the storage compartments of the Top Payload.
Remove one of the side Q-Channels of the Top Payload. You will need to remove four M3-0.5x5 button head cap screws.
Then remove one of the side panels. You will need to remove eighteen M3-0.5x5 button head cap screws and two M5-0.8x10 button head cap screws.
Now install the remaining four M5 screws in the Bottom Mid-Cross of the Top Payload.
Re-install the Side Panel and the Q-Channel you removed earlier. Now you have a complete ELM4 unit.
Congratulations! You have now completely assembled a full unit of El Mandadero.
If available, ask someone to help you install the Top Payload to the Bottom Chassis, so you avoid hurting yourself or damaging something.
Remember you are working with high voltages and currents when installing the Battery Pack. Please be as cautious as possible.
